Hi Vic. Let me know about my pot.

Hi Jose

Your pot has progressed from the coiled stage that i mentioned last time you that you asked. I have now smoothed the coils into the basic shape and the pot is again drying a little bit more.The drying has to done very slowly and it has to be exactly right before i start to add the detail. If i do it too soon it will be too soft and the pot will not keep it's shape while i work on it. But if i leave it too long any new clay that i add will shrink at a different rate and pull away from the pot .

At the moment the pot is covered with a sheet of plastic with small holes in it, this way i can control the rate of drying. At the next stage when i add the detail i will send you some pictures.

Here is the pot, it is upside down at present as the feet need to harden more before i can stand it up the right way.
