Tortured Red Ficus by Jolz

IBC friends,
About ayear ago I expiremented on one of my young Red ficus on the rock. Initially, the trunk was trained in a twisted manner and last year, I did some modifications (some of you may call it torture). I removed some bark all around the trunk from the bottom to the highest part below the first branch following the twistings of the tree. The result is what you've seen below, a coiling bark around a deadwood. As I'm satisfied with the outcome, I did it once again to my other ficus, but unluckily; it didnot make it. My second expirement now rested in peace.
Regards,
Jolz

A mi ese tronco me recuerda a las venas vivas imposibles de los juníperos de japón, lo que pasa es que estoy seguro que este caso es un alambre excesivamente clavado y estoy seguro que acabará desapareciendo con los años.

En fin...

It is unnatural. It is not bonsai.

I am sorry.

It does not cost everything.
